Senior Research Assistant

The Research delivery team at West Middlesex University hospital are seeking anexperiencedsenior research assistant/clinical trials practitioner to cover maternity leave for one year, with the possibility of extension.

This role will be based at West Middlesex Hospital and will cover a wide range of duties, supporting the small but friendly research delivery team (nurses and midwives). It will involve both administrative and clinical duties.

NB: Due to the required skill mix, experience as a Clinical Trials Assistant/Administrator in the healthcare sector is essential for this post.

Senior Research Assistant

The aim of the role of senior research assistant is to enhance the overall delivery of clinical research at West Middlesex University Hospital by providing support to the existing research delivery team, by assisting with clinical and administrative activities related to clinical trials, from initiation to termination, in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines. The role will involve basic patient/participant care, administrative duties, stock and office management and supervision of junior research assistants.

The post holder will also be expected to ensure that all research safeguards the psychological and physical well-being of the patient in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, to facilitate high standards of care. The post holder will work across the three clinical divisions of the Trust, in a variety of areas dependent on demand.

We provide services from two main hospitals, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital, and a number of clinics across London and the South-East.
