**Deputy Editor - Key Responsibilities**

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Deputy Editor with a successful track record working for a legal publication. Responsible for assisting the Editor run and managing Concurrences team.

The role is full-time and involves planning and commissioning (print and online versions of Concurrences Review). Tasks may include:

- Gather and manage freelance contacts and providers (proofreaders, designer, printer)
- Commission authors and edit copy to maintain high editorial standards
- Independently manage projects and assignments Support the editor in all aspects of the day-to-day management and running of the Review
- **D**eputise for the editor in her absence
- Liaise with authors, Scientific Committee and the commercial and production teams to ensure brand quality is maintained and deadlines met
- Monitor the proofreading, correction and posting of articles and mailings on our different platforms
- Attend relevant events and meetings to promote the Review and develop partnerships
- Write engaging copy for the website and social media pages

**Deputy Editor - Experience Required**
- At least two years’ experience as an associate editor, deputy editor, senior content editor or similar
- Fluent level of French, preferably native
- Master's degree in Law or Economics, preferably with knowledge of competition law / antitrust
- Excellent communication, writing and editing skills
- Team-management experience
- Proficiency in software such as InDesign, Microsoft Office suite and Photoshop
- Knowledge of SEO and keyword research
- Rigour and precision, close attention to detail
- Comfortability working in a professional environment with people from different cultures, nationalities, languages, etc.
- Flexibility. Some evening work during company events and business trips on our Paris’office may be required

**Deputy Editor - Terms**
- Location: London (office in Camden Town)
- Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience, annual bonus based on performance, 40-hour workweek, 28 days of annual paid vacation, free gym membership, monthly team lunch
- Recruitment Timeline: Hiring as soon as possible
