We are pleased to be working with a Coventry based organisation as they look to recruit an Assistant Buyer to their busy purchasing team. This role is being recruited on a permanent basis and will offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
- Support the Category Manager identifying future opportunities; to drive commercial value through sourcing and ongoing contract management activities.
- Assist with the development and delivery of portfolio and sourcing strategies for contracts up to an agreed value.
- Support the profiling of supply chains through supplier research and market trends to assess future contract risks and opportunities.
- Assist with the proactive management of contracts, by analysing performance and supporting the resolution of contract issues.
- Aid the resolution of contract performance issues and putting in place plans to ensure improvement.
- Monitor supplier service level and cost performance.

To be considered for this role you will demonstrate:

- Previous experience in a similar role.
- An understanding of implementing new ideas to improve existing processes.
- Experience of building strong working relationships.
- Decision making skills, ensuring facts are correct, and the outcomes understood.

Full training will be given.
