Financial Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen at a NHS organisation for an experienced Financial Accountant to play a key role in supporting the Technical Accountant proving support in performance management of a small team in the finance division of a leading hospital.
Reporting to the technical accountant to assist with providing support to enable and efficient, effective and comprehensive technical accounting support function within the trust ensuring reliability of reported figures. You will be expected to deliver highquality accounting services which achieve targets for timeliness, accuracy and financial control. You’ll assist with the month to end process for financial accounts and reporting to external agencies and to assist in the production of the trust annual accountsand liaise with external and internal audit.
You should have knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, financial reporting standards and financial other aspects of relevant legislation. Ideally you should at least 3 years of financial accounting experience. You should have knowledge of currentaccounting issues and a detailed understanding of the regulatory framework. Significant experience of working in the NHS and experience of staff management skills will be necessary.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a large hospital trust and develop your experience working within the NHS.
