Credit Analyst/Underwriter - London - £45,000-£60,000
We are looking for an experienced individual with a passion for understanding businesses and their needs, to assist in developing the risk management function, helping founders achieve their growth ambitions.
Whilst we have a list of key areas that we would like you to deliver, this is a chance to join a business that is in their early stages of its development. This gives you the opportunity to influence how we operate and deliver the best possible solutions, ina variety of different areas of Risk. It also will give you the opportunity to be able to work in a variety of positions across risk, including credit risk modelling, portfolio analysis, reporting, fraud, strategy and collections.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Assisting the evolution of our credit risk models, identifying and implementing continuous improvements to the underwriting process to support product evolution.
- Monitoring credit risk processes, with the willingness to develop existing processes to help establish a robust credit risk framework.
- Monitor and validation of the credit scoring mechanism used for SMEs.
**You’ll be bringing**:
- Experience in commercial credit risk underwriting, in particular through assessment of their financial statements through use of Open Accounting and Banking
- Proven working experience in SME credit and up to date with legal, compliance and market risk related issues
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, a critical thinker with an eye for detail, able to work at pace whilst maintaining accuracy.
- The desire to create something unique and ground-breaking in the marketplace
- The drive to work independently and find your place within a rapidly growing business
- A passion for fintech, ideally developed through time spent at a technology-led financial institution, a fintech lending business or a challenger bank.
**The details**:
- Salary: £45k - £60k d.o.e.
- 28 Days Holiday (not including Bank Holidays)
- Flexible working, but we also love seeing each other, which means that you’ll be expected to come into the office in London, three days each week.
- We would be open to the possibility of someone that if returning to work on reduced daily hours
