Multiply is a new government-funded programme to help adults who do not have a maths qualification at level 2 (or equivalent) improve their numeracy skills through engagement activities, learning opportunities and qualifications.

We are looking for inspirational Numeracy Mentors who will:

- Develop and deliver/support a range of engagement and learning activities to our priority groups that positively promote the value of numeracy skills and the range of Multiply (and other) opportunities available to increase these skills.
- Support individuals on Multiply programmes to identify and overcome barriers to maths learning and positive progression including those with distinct needs such as dyscalculia or dyslexia and those who are neurodivergent.
- Work closely with the Multiply Lead, Champions and Tutors to increase learner attainment and progression in the community and workplaces.

Our Numeracy Mentors will have the opportunity to engage our learners in 1:1 and small group settings to help them know more and be able to do more and to be more confident with maths. These activities are delivered in a range of community settings and in Swindon workplaces.

Our Numeracy Mentors are paid an hourly rate for both learner contact time and agreed prep/admin time as well as attendance at meetings and mandatory CPD. As a casual worker you are entitled to paid holidays proportionate to the number of hours worked, as it is not possible to predict working hours in advance holiday pay will be paid as a 12.07% enhancement to the hourly rate. There is an opportunity to take the Award in Education and Training qualification as part of your own CPD.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
