**Cloud Architect (AWS) - Homebased - Up to £100,000 PA**
Our clients consultancy team is growing to meet customer demand for often complex and high value AWS cloud transformation projects from traditional lift n’ shift to VM into PaaS or serverless. Our client is an AWS Architect Consultancy and looking for AWS Architectsto join thier team.
Their Cloud Architects are responsible for design and implementation of everything AWS for our clients. AWS Technology Consultants work directly with clients and with internal teams to build solutions that meet business and technical requirements and alignto supportable best-practices.
This is a broad consulting role, covering everything from initial technical engagement with the client to hands-on implementation of AWS environments.
The role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced AWS Architect to further their skills, delivering successful and innovative cloud projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Cloud Architect, you will design, configure and implement cutting edge enterprise AWS cloud technology solutions, helping to optimize their workloads on the way. With a clear focus on delivery for client engagements, you will work through the completeconsulting life cycle, including (but not limited to):
Design:

- Participating in or running design workshops
- Creating solution design documentation
- Preparing and delivering presentations
- Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to design cloud solutions
- Provide input into cloud product development, when required

Deployment:

- Deploying AWS environments using automation (IaC, Config mgmt)
- Building and configuring AWS solutions
- Migration of workloads to AWS
- Testing and optimizing environments
As a Consultant you have a responsibility to:

- Participate in technical governance/oversight for client engagements
- Understand and explain public cloud products effectively
- Conduct documentation peer-review,
- Support technical escalation
- Contribute to the development of cloud consulting standards
**Knowledge & Skills**
To be successful as a Cloud Architect you should meet the following skills requirements and essential knowledge:
Non-Technical Requirements:

- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Highly organized, can manage your own work and schedule
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Stakeholder management skills
- Respectful of others and high degree of integrity

Technical Requirements:

- Designing and building solutions on AWS
- Implementing AWS foundation services (networking, compute, storage, databases, etc)
- Knowledge of AWS security services
- Hands-on experience with Linux and/or Windows

You should already understand or be prepared to learn some of the following:

- Serverless components and containers (Lambda, Docker, EKS/ECS, Fargate)
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines and tooling (eg. Jenkins)
- Automation and configuration management tools (eg. Cloudformation/Terraform and Ansible/Puppet)
- Modern version control systems (Github, Bitbucket)
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (eg. Python, JSON, YAML, etc.)

Desirable Skills/Knowledge:

- Serverless components and containers (Lambda, Docker, EKS/ECS, Fargate)

Industry Qualifications:

- Demonstrable experience in a hands-on technology delivery role
- Experience in an AWS-focused role, having supported previous cloud projects
Certifications:

- 1+ Associate level certifications (desired)
