An exciting vacancy has arisen within our clients UK Plant based Quality team for a Quality Leader to join a very successful and well organised quality function. Reporting directly to the UK Plant Quality Manager, the main purpose of this role is to ensure products and processes meet the company's quality, technical and health & safety standards through collection and analysis of data. To lead, take part in and promote all continuous improvement activities to ensure the development and maintenance of manufacturing quality system.

The role:

- The role expects the Quality Leader to operate with minimum of supervision and has full Autonomy to drive the day-to-day activities to closure to meet customer and internal expectations.
- Review and support the development of the internal documentation to support of ISO9001 management system.
- Ensure all Quality risk assessment are up to date and managed through regular reviews of PFMEA, control plans, MSA and capability.
- Be the key interface between the customer and the site for raised quality concerns.
- Responsibility for internal performance improvements.
- Ensuring the effective management of CAPA activities to closure, including investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, implementing change controls, in support of effective Corrective and Preventive Actions.
- To reduce the business COPQ and drive improvements in CI activities.
- Maintain key Performance Indicators for the Quality function for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
- Supervise a team of Quality engineers and Improvers to meet customer and internal requirements and expectations.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop individual team members by effective day to day management of team members.
- Be a key support to the UK Plant Quality Manager in driving through leading world class practises and act as deputy when requested.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

- Educated to Degree, HND/HNC, Diploma or proven industry experience
- Detailed Understand of Management Systems such as IATF16949 and ISO9001
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of Quality tools & techniques such as, SPC, FMEA, trials, audits, PPAP, ISIR, 8D problem solving, Ishikawa diagrams, control plans, 5s, SMED. Hoshin, Kanban
- Six sigma qualification
