Senior Web Developer

Have you got the Shopify edge? We’re looking for a truly outstanding Senior Web Developer to take a leading role growing our global network of Medik8 stores. You will also have the opportunity to build lots of custom code to create awesome interactive UXjourneys.

It goes without saying this role requires a very strong level of Javascript, Liquid and CSS experience. But we are also looking for a developer with a keen eye for design who is passionate about delighting users with every click saved, and every pixel perfected.

As a Senior Web Developer expert you will work closely with the Global Head of Digital and the Chief Customer Excellence Officer. You will use your distinct perspectives, development experience, and an in-depth understanding of everything necessary to specialisein Shopify Projects to create an engaging and knowledgeable online shop that will truly elevate Medik8 and lead to enhanced client engagement and conversion.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**:

- Developing and implementing Shopify apps that extend the functionality of the platform for specific business needs.
- Work with the UX and UI Design Teams to create unique, strong, and inventive front-end user experiences.
- Responsible for optimising site performance, UX and driving greater conversions.
- Own ongoing sites maintenance, expansion and scaling.
- Cooperate with in-house design & marketing teams to gather and refine specifications and requirements for development.
- Ensure a smooth connection with Marketing Tools, Platform APIs, and Shopify Apps to optimise the shop for overall efficiency and functionality.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies/industry trends to enhance operations and activities.
- Has ownership over projects while also ensuring collaboration with every team to meet deadlines.

**THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL..**
- Have 2+ years experience with the Shopify platform and Liquid.
- Have 3+ years of front end development experience using Javascript, HTML5 & CSS3.
- Be experience in website development, troubleshooting and bug fixing.
- Have extensive knowledge of liquid templating engine.
- Take sense of 'ownership’ on projects with a hands on approach.
- Be an expert in all aspects of the ECommerce platform.
- Have previous experience implementing/debugging third-party Shopify apps, as well as building unique solutions if needed.
- Have extensive testing and debugging abilities using the browser console and other tools.
- Have prior experience developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Have working knowledge of third-party services and APIs, as well as Shopify plugins
- Have the capability to communicate effectively and provide proactive feedback
