**Overview**:
A rare opportunity to join a **professional accounting firm** who is looking for a Qualified **Accountancy Manager. You will have experience of working in practice**

The department is highly computerised and the position involves exposure to IT and a wide range of accounting packages such as **Xero, Infor10 and Sage** as well as spreadsheets and databases.

**Sounds interesting?...Daily duties include**:

- Review of management accounts prepared by staff within the department
- Advising on VAT/PAYE matters, including the review of quarterly VAT returns, EC sales lists and Intrastats
- Assisting start-ups in all aspects of financial support
- Implementation of accounting and computerised financial systems
- Review of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, companies, LLPs and charities prepared in house
- UK and International financial reporting
- Multi-currency accounting
- One-off project work
- Preparation of business plans, budgets and cashflow forecasts
- Reviewing and reporting on financial information systems
- Day to day management of staff and development, including bi-annual appraisals

**To be successful in this role you'll have**:

- Ability to delegate and manage staff
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a deadline environment
- Ability to manage a portfolio of clients
- Management accounting skills
- Working knowledge of Excel - intermediate
