What better time to join one of the UK's leading indoor family attraction operators. We are seeking a talented Head Cook to join the Partyman World family.
What are we looking for? We are looking for an ambitious, quick, hardworking individual to prepare both hot and cold meals from our set menu. In addition to the cooks role, you will also occasionally work front of house serving our customers with the best service possible.
We strive to deliver excellent service with fresh, homecooked, nutritious meals to all our customers and nursery children.
You will have a range of duties including:
- running a busy commercial kitchen on weekdays and weekends.
- Working in the cafe taking orders, serving drinks and cleaning duties.
- You will be required to work in the kitchen on a rota basis, hours to be flexible in line with business requirements.
- Responsible for monitoring the kitchen stock levels so that there are always fresh products available for our customers and nursery children.
- Accountability for maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget.
- Work with the front of house team carrying out a variety of responsibilities within the running of the play centre.
- Ensure excellent food hygiene practice is observed in the entire food chain from storage to preparation and service.
- Making meals from the menu to an excellent standard, whilst making sure the presentation of the food is also 5* rated.
Skills & experience:
- Good personal hygiene and appearance standards.
- A flexible approach to hours of work
- Ability to work at a fast pace and be on your feet in all duties.
- Ability to work on your own in the kitchen and with other team members, working at a fast pace to prepare and cook meals and light snacks from the menu.
- Engage with customers in a positive, friendly manner.
- Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, Health & Safety, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customers and colleagues.
- Self-motivated and able to work well unsupervised.
- Proactive with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Previous experience in a similar operation is desirable but full training will be given on successful appointment.
