Join us as one of our Operations Leaders at our growing site in Wyke As one of our Operations Leaders you will have responsibility for QSHE, plant assets, personnel, and achievement of plant related business goals within their facility you look after.

Your primary function is to safely deliver plant OEE and SHEQ performance through performance management and personnel development and growth.

In this crucial role in the business, you will be the primary interface with business & production planners for setting strategic production plan, shutdowns, capacity, and capability.

Develops local delivery plan to support strategic goals.
Role models EHS behaviours, implements and measures effective QSHE programme in their area, following up where standards do not meet requirements. Manages behavioural safety.
Owns, develops, and implements ongoing effectiveness of work processes, operating disciplines, management systems, enabling technologies and roles. Ensures operating discipline requirements are in place. Defines and signs off SOPs.
Ensures necessary resources are in place to reduce variation, meet quality standards and meet customer needs.
Through SIC and UIR reporting systems identify all significant deviations from plan and ensure these are assigned to the appropriate issue resolution processes. Initiate rapid response and managed follow up where required.
Ensures links across plant operations and other functions are effective.
Creates and sustains a CI culture by modelling behaviours and driving a relentless pursuit of waste elimination. CI applies equally to SHE and productivity.
Completes requirements for people management process. Coaches and participates to meet business and plant goals.
Encourages all team members to develop and utilise employee development plan, leads and coaches on achievement of objectives.

What do you bring?

As our Operations Leader you will require the relevant experience working as a leader and manager within a chemical manufacturing site or similar regulated industry

You will be qualified to degree level within chemistry or chemical engineering or have relevant work experience.

This role requires relevant people management experience of up to 20 direct reports. We are looking for leaders to create clarity, communicate effectively, instils trust and delivers results.
