You must have the physical ability stand whilst serving food for over an hour, bend, move around and use equipment such as an industrial dishwasher, washing up in sinks and cleaning including sweeping and mopping. Previous school catering experience is not needed but may be an advantage.

We are seeking someone with a proven ability to follow health and safety procedures and policies as well as being flexible when needed. The successful applicant must be self-motivated and able to work well under direction.
- The relevant qualification, at least a Level 2 in Food Safety and Hygiene.
- Experience of working in a commercial kitchen, e.g. care homes, nurseries and schools.
- The ability to implement and maintain statutory and school standards of hygiene, food safety and health & safety.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, the pupils and other members of school staff.
- Strong communication skills and a good sense of self-awareness.
