Index Portfolio Manager

**What you'll be doing**
- Portfolio Management - Carry out a range of day to day tasks associated with portfolio management. Assume full responsibility for the management of a designated set of portfolios including:
- Monitoring exposures, tracking and risk of portfolios
- Fund performance monitoring and attribution
- Cash flow trading
- Portfolio analysis - analyse index reviews and corporate events and formulate trading strategies based off the analysis.
- Index analysis - keep up to date on the methodology of existing indices and relevant changes whilst also conducting research on new index strategies.
- Liaising with internal/ external teams on strategic projects impacting the Index Equities team.
- Internal & External Communication - Build enduring and deep business relationships with internal colleagues within the portfolio management team, across other teams within LGIM and external parties.
- Team Contribution - Work within a team and build stakeholder relationships with internal colleagues within the portfolio team, across the department & across the business.
- Regulation & Compliance - Maintain, operate & adhere to risk & compliance requirements set out by the business and consistent with all relevant legislation.
- Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
**What we're looking for
- Educated to degree level
- Further qualifications (IMC,CFA,CAIA) advantageous
- Advanced Excel user (VBA preferred)
- Knowledge of Bloomberg
- Previous experience in managing physical equity portfolios required
- A good understanding of how indices work and are calculated
- Experience of managing different fund wrappers including Life Wrapped, ICAV and Unit Trust
- An understanding of UCITS regulations and guidance notes with respect to the management of the assets
- Highly numerate
- 2-3 years prior experience as Index Portfolio Manager
- Take ownership of day-to-day work and work with the various parts of the index and broader investment teams
