Pertemps is currently recruiting for their highly reputable client and successful Retailer, who are looking for a dynamic Finance Assistant to join their expanding team at their busy Head office in Derriford, Plymouth.
As the Finance Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced environment approving invoices for payment, assigning invoices and analysing costs and variances against budget.
The successful Finance Assistant will also:

- Check overhead expense codes and correcting any mis postings.
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing accounts.
- Prepare and post journals and vat journals
- Liaise with internal and external colleagues to resolve outstanding disputes.
- Manage day to day running of new data capture software.
- Post prepayments and accruals.
- Approve any staff expenses.

The successful Finance Assistant must have excellent communication, analytical skills and must be IT Literate with intermediate or advanced Excel skills. As the Finance Assistant you will have a high level of accuracy and have attention to detail. A Financialqualification (AAT or equivalent) is desirable.
Hours for the role are full time
- Mon-Fri 8:45am - 5:30pm, with a competitive salary depending on experience.This is a temporary to permanent position.
