AKM is a small electrical business with our client base predominantly in the TW and KT postal code areas.

This is an ideal opportunity for an Electrical improver or mate that is looking to build up their experience in the domestic market

We are currently looking for a fully qualified and experienced domestic electricians Mate/ improver on a temporary basis but may be opportunity for further work after this period.

**_Main purpose of the role_**:This is a varied mobile role but in the main you will be required to identifying and rectify domestic electrical faults, carry out electrical installation works to the latest regulations including fuseboard replacements as well as also carrying out follow on remedial works.

The ability to work confidently alone will be essential as well as good communication skills and exceptional customer service. You must be able to problem solve and work calmly under pressure in order to identify and rectify various domestic electrical faults, carry out installation works on own and have good written skills.

The core hours are Monday to Friday - 5 days a week

The position is offered on a self employed basis because it is temporary

Own transport and hand tools will be required

**_Key responsibilities: _**
- Ability to clearly identify domestic electrical faults and be able to rectify
- Carrying out NICEIC electrical installation condition reports (EICR)
- Installation work inc Fuse board replacements, running in cable and first and second fix.
- Work closely with office to organise and plan your day efficiently and logístically
- Professionally and pleasantly meeting with customers on a day-to-day basis
- Send necessary reports/ photos and certification back to office following completion of works
- Adhere to HSE, wiring regs and current Cronoviris guidelines.

**Key requirements**:

- Ability to work independently to problem solve and rectify electrical faults
- experience and good understanding of electrical domestic installations
- Fully qualified City & Guilds 18th edition electrician
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Basic IT skills to send reports & certification back to office
- Excellent customer service skills and a likeable approachable personality
- Fluent English speaking
- Your own hand tools
- Your own transport.
- Must be 100% reliable
- Ideally live Within the TW or KT postal code area

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 weeks

**Salary**: From £130.00 per day

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
