Our client is the market leader in their industry and have recently set up new Head Quarters in Solihull.
The Credit team is centre of Excellence, and are often up for Credit Control Team of the year at the annual CICM awards, headed up by a brilliant Leader who strives for excellence
The company believe in having a great culture and a work/life balance, and have recently reduced the working week to 35 hours and offer hybrid working moving forwards (3 days office, 2 days from home)
**This role is initially a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract - Maternity cover to start asap and handover till mid May**
**Your new role
To support the wider business, maximising cash collection and mitigating Credit Risk to the business.**
- Relationship building with branches and key internal and external stakeholder is key
- Manage Credit issues both short term and long term with branches to best suite the business
- Mitigating of bad debts, ensuring no further risk is compiled ontop of current debts.
- Maintaining supplies to clients, getting order released with payments. Managing Credit Limits.
- Allocation of cash
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Resolving queries and escalating complaints to the right departments
- Ensure financial data is kept up to date on the system

**What you'll need**:

- studying towards a qualification is desired but not essential (CICM / AAT)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong listening skills with the ability to show empathy
- Good excel skills (Vlookups, Pivots)
- Knowledge of Navision is preferred
