CBES Limited has an exciting opportunity for a Managing Surveyor to join our Commercial department, **where you’ll be part of a well-established team delivering a variety of projects across the UK,** based in our Head office in Glasgow. You will be required to attend site visits from time to time and must be prepared to travel nationally to ourregional offices where members of your team are based.

You will report to the Commercial Manager and work closely with the Heads of the Construction Department. The successful post-holder will be responsible for managing the commercial delivery of all Capital Projects within this Division. The role will requireyou to manage and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors, providing them with advice & guidance to help them successfully manage all the commercial aspects of their projects.

You will be working with a portfolio of refurbishment, new build projects and asset replacement projects through direct tendered awards and framework contracts. Typical project values are between £25K and £3M. You will be joining a well-established teamspecializing in these works.

In addition to managing staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of commercial procedures, best practice and commercial strategies. You will also be responsible for contributing to management reports, monitoring projected project coststo completion and cash flow projections.

Responsible for ensuring works are valued correctly the **Managing Surveyor** will also liaise closely with and support the commercial procurement function in the pre-qualification, tender, evaluation, selection, and award of the subcontractors,and where necessary contribute to the negotiation for the establishment and close-out of subcontracts.

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will have; -- Customer Centric Approach to solutions

- Ability to carry out cost planning and pre-contract cost control
- Ability to manage commercial aspects with Customer and Stakeholders for their area of responsibility.

The following qualifications are essential:

- BSc and/or MSc in Quantity Surveying and experience or equivalent.
