**Responsibilities**:
**Job Purpose**
The Product Trainer role in RM is integral to our ability to onboard new customers and maximise opportunities with existing customers. It is a high-profile customer facing role requiring the skills to learn complex software products, design training sessions and successfully deliver these both in person and remotely and through other approaches such as recorded content or online courses.
RM Assessment customers are heavily involved in the education sector, many of whom come from teaching and training backgrounds. A solid understanding and appreciation of pedagogy is also required.
This role will work as part of a team developing and delivering training both to clients and internally. Clients will vary from small organisations to large and complex organisations undertaking large scale digital transformation projects. The job holder will be responsible for developing and delivering training content and materials tailored to individual clients as well as more standardised training as needed.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Designing Training
- Define tailored training modules based around client requirements and RM’s software products.
- Work with internal teams to ensure that training evolves as product functionality and our product and proposition portfolio develop.
- Be responsible for the tracking and maintenance of all client training content
- Training Content Development
- Develop training materials to support agreed client training needs, either for individual clients or as part of more standard training packages, that may be used in interactive in-person or remote training sessions or delivered through webinars or other appropriate means.
- Training content is likely to include PowerPoint slides, product demos and video and written content.
- Customer Delivery
- Deliver training to global client teams. Training is expected to be delivered remotely but there may be some opportunities for travel.
- Show a sensitivity to user and customer needs, be flexible and willing to take on feedback from observations and be able to differentiate training material on the fly if necessary.
**Decision Making**
I) Independent decision making and planning:
- Scheduling of your time in order to meet agreed demand and recording this centrally for cross-functional team access
- Training session content design
- Scheduling of training events and customer training.
II) You refer to your manager / a colleague.
- Discussion of content, knowledge and Training standards
- Training delivery pedagogy
- Cost approval
- Any activity that falls outside of agreed budget
**Impact & Influence**
- Leads on designing and delivering training sessions and content
- Influences Product Management in respect of product enhancements and our wider training proposition including on innovative approaches to delivering training.

**Experience**:
**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
- Experience of designing and delivering training to external customers including a good understanding of pedagogy and how to differentiate to learners
- Experience of delivering both interactive training (delivered face-to-face and remotely) and self-service training programmes
- Experience of developing a range of training materials including presentations video content and webinars
- Experience of working in a cloud-based software product environment
- Experience of working with schools and/or knowledge of the Assessment domain would be an advantage
- Strong communication skills - applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations)
- Ability to adapt style, language and communication methods to the needs of the audience
- Proven ability of organisational planning and problem solving
- Understanding of personal data, GDPR and other data protection regulations
- Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders, on-shore and off-shore
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities
- Experience of working in international education contexts would be advantageous.
