**Internal Communications**

As the Pendragon Group goes through continued change, internal Associate communications are more important than ever and the business needs to look at new, more efficient ways of communicating to further increase Associate satisfaction.

**External Communications**

Pendragon Group continues to attract attention from local, national and international media where the management of corporate reputation remains key. To maximise above the line advertising budget the use of local and national media for proactive PR activity has become vital.

**What does the role of Communications Executive involve?**
- Building a centralised hub for internal communications supported by enthusiastic champions around the business
- Input into and maintain both internal and external communications plans that can be applied across the group
- Produce authentic and consistent communications that promote greater transparency of our business, people and brands
- Be a trusted advisor to key stakeholders across the businesses and with key external partners, including departmental leads, agency resource and project teams, providing advice on communication and engagement strategies
- Responding to business need, create crisis management materials for use internally or externally to support stakeholders with issues management
- Collaborate with business leaders to increase engagement with our internal communications platform
- Work in partnership with our external agency partners to develop and deliver impactful PR campaigns
- Use and encourage storytelling to bring alive the company purpose and values

**What do you need to succeed in the role of Internal Communications Executive?**

Required:

- You’ll need to liaise with different people internally and externally every day, so the ability to communicate effectively is a must
- Comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of programs is a must
- This role requires fresh ideas and innovative thinking to make the most of our internal resources and to maximise the use of local media
- Experience in the creation and delivery of internal communications and PR plans
- The ability to analyse a developing situation quickly and consider the risks and opportunities
- Convey the company purpose and values by promoting memorable stories and initiatives internally and championing successes externally
- The ability to adapt to changing circumstances with a flexibility of style to suit different personalities and situations
- Confident in taking the initiative and the ability to deal with ambiguity, making positive use of opportunities as they arise
- Possess an outgoing personality that allows you to build strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders

Desirable:

- Experience of working in an internal communications environment, preferably in a large matrix organisation
- Adept at working in partnership with external agency teams to develop and deliver strategies and campaigns
- Experience of partnering with internal stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to scope, design and deliver organisational change initiatives
- Knowledge and proficiency of video production and editing, podcasting, event management and basic graphic design would be an advantage but not essential
- Degree or other qualification in a communications related field
