To work as part of a multi-agency team of staff providing an integrated approach to the delivery of services designed to achieve the principal aim of the Youth Justice Service, this is to prevent offending by children and young people.
- To work within the framework of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and Case management guidance for Youth Justice. This will involve direct contact with children, young people and their families, and oversight, supervision and support for children and young people across a range of statutory and voluntary provisions.

Cheshire Youth Justice Services are recruiting for a part time (21 hours a week) Education, Training and Employment worker.
The post is within a busy youth justice service, alongside case managers, support workers and other specialist staff.
The post holder will have excellent communications skills; the ability to develop and maintain positive, encouraging relationships with children; and a passion to advocate on their behalf with other services to promote their access to, and positive engagement in education, training and employment.
The postholder will need to have a social work, probation qualification, or a relevant degree. This could be criminology, psychology, criminal justice, degree in education. If you are unsure if your qualification would be considered relevant, please check before applying.
The post will be based in an area team which works with children across the Cheshire East area, with an office base in Crewe and Macclesfield. All posts within YJS could involve work across the wider areas that we work across including Cheshire West, Halton and Warrington areas.
