**Job summary**:
This position reports to RAF Lossiemouth 6 Sqn Typhoon Junior Engineer Officer (B) and is responsible for correct management of all tools and testing equipment held within the 6 Sqn Tool Issue Centre, fulfilling the role of Issue Centre Custodian (ICC) to support delivery of Typhoon Flying Squadron training outputs.

This position is a Shift-Worker position, alternating 1 week of Days and 1 week of Nights, advertised at 37 hrs per week with Shift-Worker allowance allocated.

**Job description**:
Ensure 100% control and accountability is in place for all tools, testing equipment, consumables, and kits within the 6 Sqn Tool Issue Centre. Tool control checks comprise daily ICC tool checks, weekly MOD Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) checks, monthly MOD SNCO checks, annual inventory checks, and pre/post use checks for all issued tools.

Report all lost tools to on-shift Engineering Management and RAF Lossiemouth Unit Tool Custodian (UTC) to initiate Lost Tool procedures.

Maintain a register of all tools, including etched and unetched tools and associated tool kits to ensure tool identity is maintained.

Maintain a register of all Locally Manufactured Tools, ensuring this list is available to the UTC to ensure correct authority for use is granted.

Ensure all Test and Measuring Equipment (TME) is correctly maintained through liaison with the unit TME Controller.

Liaise with the UTC and Station Engineering Records to ensure correct tool control paperwork and associated records are maintained.

Ensure all tool control documentation is correctly maintained, including random quality checks and monthly archival of all documentation.

Ensure all tools, including those requiring commissioning / de-commissioning, are registered on the central Station Tool Register, held by the UTC and Annual Check Registers are correctly maintained.
