Role - Information Security Officer

Contract Length - 3 Months

Rate - £550-600 per day (Outside IR35)

Location - London

**Overview**

The role brings a mix of strategic, technical and operational responsibilities. You will develop information security strategy, policies and procedures, simultaneously inspiring, training and influencing your peers to set information security as a foundationwithin organisational goals and objectives. You will own and uphold operational outcomes, taking a hands-on approach to direct security operations, handling event monitoring, incident response (IR), vendor onboarding and offboarding and the enforcement ofpolicies and procedures.

**Skills Required**:

- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex topics around information security and risk to non-technical audiences.
- Significant problem-solving skills including diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution across multiple interconnected systems and suppliers;
- Demonstrated experience in handling and communicating confidential and sensitive information;
- Able to work in a manner that is consistent with the organisation's core behaviours;
- Cultural sensitivity and an interest in, or experience of, working in an international environment;
- Able to lead and motivate internal and external teams
- Ability to build multi-vendor relationships and advice and promote the best software and services within the information security space.
- Understanding of geopolitical information security landscape, nation-state threat actors and politically motivated advisory groups, especially the techniques, tools and motivations and how to counter them.
- Comprehensive understanding of formal information security frameworks and standards and their strategic use (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc).

**Experience Required**
- Previous experience working within an information security lead role.
- Demonstrable experience securing Windows environments at an enterprise level.
- Experience implementing Microsoft Sentinel.
- Thorough understanding and ability to put in place Cyber Essentials.
- Demonstrate experience securing, monitoring and operating enterprise cloud infrastructure and SaaS platforms - ideally Azure & Office 365.
- Significant experience managing information security policies, processes, standards, controls and management of risk.
- Experience providing guidance, leadership and direction in evaluating information security risks and monitoring security standards, appropriate policies across a large enterprise.
- Experience implementing and administering technical security standards.
- Experience managing security incidents, coordinating the response, remediation and actions to prevent reoccurrence.
