**About the role**:
We are currently looking for a UK Sales Director to join us based in Warrington, commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, St Helens, Widnes, Wigan, Leigh and Lymm.

Your goals will be heavily focused on quadrupling our current sales team and associated sales target for the UK. You will also collaborate with our Global Head of Sales and the VPs of EMEA and of North America.

You will lead teams of salespeople in desk-based roles to identify, assess and qualify prospective suppliers on behalf of Government and public sector purchasers in specific industry categories who can meet the supply needs of those public bodies.

The Director is accountable for developing and directing the total sales and marketing strategy. We are therefore looking for an experienced, hungry self-starter, that thrives in an entrepreneurial sales environment whilst simultaneously enjoys being part of a team. Stay current with industry news and issues to understand the potential impact to your current prospect. You will show an exceptional grasp of commerce and knowledge of the public sector.

As a Sales Director you will be focused on identifying prospects, matching their relevance and needs to the market place. Plus achieving sales through developing relationships with global market industry leaders. You will also be involved in strategic planning of sales cycles and projects, whilst managing your own development.

Your Objective as a Sales Director is focusing on revenue and target delivery, achieved through consistent KPI standard success for not only revenue but quality, conversion levels and average order value across the sales team. You will be required to close deals within 7 days of appointments and participate in outbound call making between closing calls. You will be required to maintain and report the prospect pipeline and be able to demonstrate a full grasp of your accurate forecast at all times, along with individual team member reporting and improvement through coaching and leadership.

**The successful Sales Director will show the following skills**:

- Strong knowledge of computers, internet research and using Microsoft Office and sales CRM software
- You must be an outgoing, enthusiastic and dynamic motivator of people, with a positive attitude. A person who leads by example.
- Achieve revenue targets according to company goals and own all sales conversion metrics & monthly or annual sales goals.
- Ensure internal processes are followed, including team’s adherence to tracking customer and transactional information in CRM system and other sales and operational processes.
- Define new processes to increase overall productivity.
- Participate in team-building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care.
- Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency
- Overcomes hesitations of clients to close a sale.
- Maintains positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat and recurring business
