We are recruiting for a full time **Grounds Maintenance Operative** to undertake general grounds/caretaker duties for a well known national client. The work is based at Goodman’s Fields, London, E1 8PW.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of our client's premises - to the highest standards at all times.

**Duties/responsibilities**:

- All areas of grounds maintenance, including but not exclusive to grass cutting, bed preparation, hedge cutting, weed control and waste removal.
- Prune shrubs and trees up to maximum height of six feet; uses blower or broom to sweep sidewalks; maintains in-ground drains and flower beds.
- Driving to and from the work site.
- risk assessment, hazard reporting, and the use of CAFM system in the recording of works completed.
- Operates and maintains grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mower, sweeper, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, sprayers, and basic gardening hand tools.

**Essential**:

- Full UK Driving License.
- 2 years Grounds Maintenance experience.
- Certificate in safe use of various machinery.
- First Aid training.

**Highly Desirable**:

- PA1 and PA6 spraying licences.

**Summer Hours (April - October)**:
Monday: 7am - 4pm (one hour unpaid break)

Wednesday: 7am - 4pm (one hour unpaid break)

Friday: 7am - 4pm (one hour unpaid break)

Totaling to 24 hours per week

**Winter Hours (November - March)**:
Monday: 7am - 4pm (one hour unpaid break)

Friday: 7am - 4pm (one hour unpaid break)

Totaling to 16 hours per week

**Pay**:
£13.15 per hour totalling to £1,139.66 per month/£13,676.00 per annum.

Although the hours differ in Summer and Winter, you will be paid in equal instalments each month, your pay will not change throughout the year as we have averaged the pay and hours.
