Job Title: Ground Maintenance Operative

Location: Chislehurst, United Kingdom

**Salary**: £12 per hour

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Ground Maintenance Operative to my clients team in Chislehurst. As a Ground Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of various outdoor spaces, such as parks, gardens, and communal areas. Your primary goal will be to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and aesthetic appeal for the enjoyment of residents, visitors, and the local community.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, and watering lawns and gardens.
- Prune trees, hedges, and shrubs to maintain their health and shape.
- Plant and maintain flowers, plants, and other greenery to enhance the appearance of outdoor areas.
- Remove weeds, litter, and debris from lawns, gardens, and walkways.
- Operate and maintain various equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Inspect and report any damage or hazards in the outdoor areas, including playgrounds and pathways.
- Carry out seasonal tasks, such as leaf removal, snow clearing, and gritting.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks and projects.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in ground maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic horticulture and gardening techniques.
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
