**Location**

You will be based in Christchurch, Dorset for 2-3 days per week. The remainder of the week can either be based in the KBR Leatherhead office or working from home.

**Security Requirements**

We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join our GS Supply Chain team working on an exciting new project.

You will:

- Work as a member of the procurement team to provide procurement expertise, services, support and strategy implementation to meet the operational needs of the business.
- Be responsible for driving procurement solutions, planning, delivering and deploying appropriate procurement interventions in support of business aims.
- Lead a strategically important/complex package or supplier, which requires a broad and in-depth professional knowledge and understanding of Procurement principles, techniques and practices.

Some of your duties:

- The delivery of procurement capability for your assigned Business Unit/Project(s)
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the product or service provision:

- Meets the governance requirements of the business and our customers.
- Delivers optimum value for money
- Achieves the required service level as agreed with internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Company systems, including purchase to pay systems, risk and supplier management tools.
- Work collaboratively to implement an effective risk management process within area of responsibility

**What We Need**

A high standard of Procurement competence in key areas of sourcing, process knowledge, contracting skills and supplier management.

You will have exemplary business acumen and the ability to work on your own initiative with mínimal supervision and with responsibility for delivery and escalating concerns.

- The Ability to utilise the collective experience and knowledge within the team to deliver effective solutions.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Very good stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

**Qualifications**

CIPS Level 5 (working towards or equivalent)
