They have a great opportunity for an experienced administrator or recently qualified HR professional looking to put knowledge in practice and strengthen their Human Resources skills to join Active Luton’s warm and welcoming People team as their HR Administrator. They would also be happy to sponsor and support you to undertake your CIPD if needed.

You will be joining a busy team who are responsible for all aspects of people management and people system processes for Active Luton. Your role as People Administrator (HR Administrator) will be critical in looking after the whole employee lifecycle and supporting the administration of the wide ranging and varied departments across the organisation. You must be confident working with databases and systems and understand the importance these things play in delivering an effective and efficient HR service.

Active Luton is a complex organisation with employees from all backgrounds with a diverse range of duties. You will need to be proactive, able to plan and organise workloads, work within strict deadlines and with minimum supervision. In addition, you will have methodical and accurate approach to work and deal with people matters politely and tactfully.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Business Administration or CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
- A good understanding of end to end Human Resource processes administration, employment contracts/ contractual variation, HR policy and procedures best practice operation as well as recruitment
- Experience of successfully providing first line advice and guidance
- Previous experience in a multi-faceted administration department
- Experienced user of MS Office programmes, particularly Word and Excel spreadsheets, as well as systems and database
- Confident, clear and effective communication skills - both written and verbal

This is an office based role, however some flexibility could be discussed if required. Active Luton head office is located right in the heart of Luton, less than 10 minutes away from train station and only few minutes walk to the town’s busy high street and The Mall shopping centre.
