**_ The Role:_**:
Oxfam GB is looking for a Procurement Advisor to join the Procurement team. The Procurement Advisor will be the key point of contact for specific areas of spend which may include Events, Market Research, Marketing Materials & Fleet. The role with require the post holder to manage and develop relationships with key business stakeholders, whilst providing strategic procurement advice on supplier contracts, spend and risk.

With the oversight and guidance from senior procurement colleagues, you will manage a range of areas of spend that spread across several markets and business divisions. This will require a high degree of multi-tasking and the ability to quickly develop relationships within all levels of the business.

At times you will also be required to provide additional project support to members of the Procurement team for such areas as market tenders and contract negotiation.

This is an exciting time to join the Procurement team at Oxfam GB. We are a small team that work strategically with colleagues across all areas of Oxfam business and projects within the UK. This role is suitable for individuals who have previous procurement experience, or those with other relevant experience who are eager to start a new career in Procurement.

Specific experience or knowledge of the categories listed is not essential but will be taken into account.

- Ability to critically assess and escalate risks when planning procurement activity and resources.
- Demonstrable experience in managing, evaluating and developing supplier performance.
- Demonstrable commercial experience and ability to drive value for money.
- Proven negotiation skills to operate internally and externally.
- Drive to achieve results in the best way given the time and resource available. Enthusiastically tackles demanding goals.
- Critical information gathering: actively assess relevance of information, targets information search and questions to achieve clarity and make decisions.
- Selects the appropriate style of communication and interpersonal skills to influence key decision makers.
- Able to demonstrate initiative, adaptable & flexible.
