**The Role**

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Supply Chain Operations Specialist within the Vacuum Technique Service Division, part of the Atlas Copco Group. The role is reporting into the Supply Chain Optimisational Manager, based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

The Logistics function supports all Division through the provision of Distribution centres, supply chain planning systems and global freight management. This role has mínimal operational responsibility but supports the divisional logistics managers and Distribution Centre Managers to provide tools and processes

The focus of the role is to look across the VTBA Equipment supply chain from Product Company or Vendor to final distribution location and define processes that optimise the global inventory planning and goods movements, to improve cost efficiencies and enhance customer experience.

The role will define and design global reports that are used to monitor the performance of the supply chain.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Develop optimised supply chain processes to minimise the total operating costs of inbound supply, handling, storing and moving goods between locations.
- Generate global processes for categorising materials for Inventory management and for calculating optimum order and holding quantities. Support the use of these tools in the regional Distribution Cneetres s
- Develop reports to monitor the performance of the supply chain and logistics processes. This will include inventory, customer service and costs
- Define the master data requirements to ensure optimal supply chain planning with mínimal intervention from supply planners
- Share best practice across regions, divisions and with Vacuum Technique Service Logistics
- Participate and contribute to the Business Area Logistics Councils, etc
- Work with finance teams to supports analytics of cost drivers.

**Skills, Knowledge, Experience**
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain or equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ experience in various logistics/supply chain environments, ideally within either an operations or an analytical role including process improvement
