**The role**
We have done the hard work of developing a range of software solutions that are so configurable and flexible that they are used by every size and type of organisation across the UK.
With complex systems that can be configured in a vast number of ways, users can experience issues, and this is where our Service Desk comes in. You will be joining an excellent team of Application Specialists who are the experts available to our customers, to understand the detail of any software issues they face and find solutions for them.
As you would expect, the software products we build are predominantly focused around the areas of payroll/HR, but we also work with a range of partners to provide analytics solutions, learning management systems (LMS) and many more.
You will be working with a wide range of customers from government departments and our emergency services to big name retail brands across the UK.
Our Service Desk is a great place to get your hands on all sorts of technology and is a great opportunity to build on your technical and customer service skills. As a business we reinvest in our people, this means we will give you the opportunity to study and qualify in many areas from specific payroll/HR qualifications like CIPP/CIPD to technology and management certifications.
**Who are we looking for?**
If you are inquisitive, enjoy being challenged, like the idea of problem and puzzle solving, trouble shooting and investigating, most importantly like getting to the bottom of a problem or puzzle, then this is the role for you.
Whatever your experience, even if you are not familiar with our space, you will be smart enough to learn what is required with the support of a dedicated team around you along with a wide range of training that is available.
**How you will work**
You will be working with colleagues with different levels of experience of our payroll/HR systems, so you will have a constant support network to develop and enhance your existing skills. With regular 1-1’s with your line manager, hands on support and mentorship you will be able to get up to speed in no time
Customers log their issues via a ticketing system, so you will be working in a structured way - however, the key to success is ensuring that customers receive a first-class service, so calling the customer and asking the right questions and setting expectations to ensure that their issues are resolved efficiently and effectively is key. You will need to prioritise tickets based on the urgency and customer impact.
You will spend collaborating with Software Engineering and Product Design teams to learn more about how our products work and navigate through complex issues as a team. No two days are the same
