**Are you an experienced and well organised administrator with great people skills?**

As part of the People Services team, you will work closely with the Volunteer Development Manager to promote volunteering opportunities that support the provision of services offered by the Trust and help make a positive difference within the Mid Sussex community.

You will be responsible for collaborating with teams across the organisation to promote the services of the Trust and recruit, retain and support the development of volunteers across multiple projects and services.

This role includes:

- Updating and maintaining a database of volunteers
- Supporting project leaders in the recruitment, induction and training of volunteers
- Undertaking DBS and other safeguarding checks as appropriate
- Supporting and running of volunteer events
- Promoting volunteering through publicity strategies including attending fairs, radio interviews etc

**Who we are looking for**

This is a key role, linking teams, improving communication, and developing the value of our volunteer programme ensuring volunteers and the Trust get the most from working together.
- Have excellent communication skills and confidence to act as the face of the Trust at external events
- Have experience of recruiting and inducting new joiners, preferably in a Volunteering environment
- Be able to prioritise, plan and organise tasks and activities effectively
- Able to prepare clear and concise reports with excellent attention to detail
- Experience of using and developing data systems and procedures
- Confident user of Microsoft Office
- Be enthusiastic and pro-active with a can-do attitude
- £22,330 per annum pro rata (Band 4)
- Part-time hours, 30 hours per week
- Hours to be worked over 4 days per week between Monday - Friday
- Working within the local community, so a current driving licence and access to a vehicle will be required
- Primarily located at the Hospice in North Chailey with the option for some home working

A Basic DBS check will be required.
