**Job Title: Goods In & Quality Control Operative**
**Location**:Nurtured in Norfolk, Shipdham Road, Toftwood, NR19 1NP
**Department**: Operations/Warehouse
**Reports To**: Warehouse Manager

**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Goods In & Quality Control**:

- Receive and unload deliveries from hauliers or our logistics fleet.
- Perform intake checks, including temperature monitoring and quality assessments of fresh produce upon arrival.
- Verify goods received against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies to production and buyers so that supplier performance can be analysed.
- Arrange and organize products in accordance with production team requirements.
- Ensure all stock is rotated and utilized following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Communicate any QC or intake issues promptly to the Buyer, Production Manager, and Accounts Team.

**Warehouse & Despatch Support**:

- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and Despatch Teams to maintain smooth operations of chilled stock areas.
- Assist with stock movements, inventory organization, and general warehouse tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

**Working Hours & Schedule**:

- **Standard Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- **Flexibility Required**: Occasional earlier starts may be required to break down incoming goods in order for production to start.
- **Additional Work**: Occasional Sunday work, paid at time and a half.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Previous experience working with fresh produce in a warehouse or quality control environment.
- Strong understanding of FIFO and stock rotation principles.

**Desirable**:

- Valid forklift certificate (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working in refrigerated or chilled environments.
- Experience working with fresh limited shelf life produce.

**Working Environment**:

- Refrigerated warehouse handling fresh produce.
- Physical role requiring regular lifting and movement of stock.

- Hourly Rate - £13.43 P/H
- 38.75 Hours Per week + Overtime if required.
