Dispatcher / Planner

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to take the next step in their career, in the role of a Controller in our Shropshire Contract.

As a Controller you will be responsible for planning and controlling the daily movement of the medically eligible patients to and from NHS Healthcare facilities.

This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday covering variable shifts between 8.00am and 8.00pm.

**Your duties will include**:
Planning and controlling of daily ambulance journeys transporting medically eligible patients to and from NHS healthcare facilities.

Controlling a complex operation consisting of over 75 ambulances delivering 550 patient journeys per day.

Essential criteria

Good telephone manner

Be customer service focused and able to effectively handle sensitive situations

Be able to stay calm under pressure

Ability to take initiative

Working effectively as a part of the team

Desired criteria

Experience of dispatching and planning NEPTS journeys

Good knowledge and understanding of the geographical area covered

Experience of working in similar transport control environment, using logístical and planning skills

Be familiar with computerized route planning software

Have a good geographic knowledge of the county

£11.36 per hour

30 minutes paid break

Holiday entitlement equivalent to 28 days per annum
