Join to apply for the Transport Controller / Planner (Night) role at EMED Group. This is a full‑time permanent night position working 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday 22.00‑06.00. Please only apply if you can work these hours. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate the daily transport of patients to and from outpatient clinics, day care centres and routine hospital admissions. Check daily and future bookings within the Cleric controlling system, ensuring resources are correct and sub‑contractors are informed. Dispatch and manage operational crews to ensure timely and efficient collection and delivery of patients between destinations, achieving contractual targets. Receive patient transport requests and queries regarding ambulance journeys, ensuring compliance with service procedures and standing orders. Maintain patient flow across all control areas through effective liaison with colleagues, hospital staff and prompt resolution of urgent problems. Undertake general clerical duties, including booking list checks, data input and completing ad‑hoc forms/invoices as necessary. Qualifications Effective communication and interpersonal skills gained from experience dealing with customers or members of the public. Ability to work on your own initiative and problem solve. Comfortable using a computer and IT software including route planning. Good organisational skills. Prior experience or specific training in patient transport service (PTS) is an advantage.
