M&S Café, the nation’s favourite Café is changing. We are evolving our fresh food offering as part of our transformation renewal program.

The new format Café is designed to deliver a complete step-change for customers with an operating model focused on a digital customer experience through on-screen and on-phone ordering.

This new M&S Café has been developed to create a warm and inviting space for our customers to relax as part of their shopping experience.

As the part of the Café team, you will be part of the transformation across the whole customer journey in your Café from the way they pay, the service they receive, the innovative equipment we use and the products they will eat.

**WHAT IS THE ROLE?**
- Kitchen Lead: Leading the food quality & consistency as well as owning the stock and production management of the kitchen.

**IN THESE ROLES YOU WILL**:

- Responsible for preparing, cooking & presenting food, quickly and efficiently & meeting M&S standards
- Oversee the deployment & shift running of the full kitchen & kitchen service space
- Responsible for keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy, at all times
- Keep up to date with current M&S menus, menu build SOPs and all new product launches
- Work safely around kitchen equipment and communicate any maintenance issues to the Manager
- Assist in ensuring accurate stock take levels

**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**

If you’ve got previous experience in a customer-facing or service-oriented role, that’s a bonus. So is having previous kitchen experience.

But ultimately, we’ll invest heaps into your training so we’re hiring mainly for the right attitude and approach. To thrive in this role, you’ll need to:

- Love working as part of a team.
- Be proactive and love to get stuff done.
- Be passionate about coffee and committed to your development.
