About the role
Working within the Public Health Intelligence (PHI) team, the Senior Performance and Information Officer will lead on the analysis and reporting of statutory functions around public health, including submission of mandatory returns to the Office of Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) for NHS Health Checks, National Childhood Measurement Programme (NCMP) and the 0-19’s service.

This role will also be responsible for analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will update performance dashboards for public health commissioned services, the Health Protection Board and Corporate performance scorecards. This information is required by the senior public health team and commissioners to monitor public health outcomes and the performance of public health services.

What will you be doing?
The Senior Performance and Information Officer will provide an integral role in monitoring the effectiveness of key commissioned services, through analysis of service data. The role will be responsible for completing Public Health performance metrics that will feed into corporate scorecards, as well as for other departmental and organisational performance monitoring.

This role will work collaboratively with Public Health Analysts, Public Health consultants, service leads and commissioning leads to ensure that the latest performance data is available, and to highlight any areas for concern.

About you
- Has experience and skills in analysing data and intelligence.
- Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to produce and present a range of documents to a range of audiences.
- Is a self-starter
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Has experience of working within a local authority setting, or having experience of performance monitoring.
- Has good organisational skills and can manage their own workload
- Has experience in collaborative working to deliver effective multi-agency work.
