There is now a Fantastic opportunity for dedicated Residential Childcare Officers to join our ever expanding Residential Children’s Home provisions within the North Tyneside area, we currently have 3 Children's Homes within the Sunderland area all of which have now been rated GOOD by Ofsted as of August 2021.

ForeverCare Provide person centred support and care for children and young people between the ages of 7 and 18 years with a variety of different needs and requirements.

Our RCCO's will be responsible to the Senior on shift and Manager / Deputy Manager and will ensure all aspects of care and support for the children and young people are maintained at all times and work to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people are achieved.

*Permanent waking night role's are also available

**Person Specification**

To work within this role you must be:
1. A minimum of 6 months experience is a Residential Childcare setting is desirable however, experience in other Health and Social care settings will be considered.

2. Committed to achieving the best for children and young people.

3. Able to follow instruction.

4. Work towards achieving the best outcomes of children and young people in line with the Care Quality Standards.

5. Safeguard and protect the wellbeing of children and young people at all times.

6. Work as a valued member of the team.

7. Be willing to complete training as required.

8. Be willing to enrol on the Level 3 Diploma Children and young peoples workforce (if not already held or enrolled).

9. Follow Company Policy & Procedure at all times.

10. Be able to communicate professionally both with staff members and professionals.

11. Be outgoing, caring, and compassionate.

12. Be able to advocate for the needs, wishes, and views of the young people and children we care for.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
A relevant qualification is esential e.g Level 3 NVQ in childcare or equivalent but not essential as enrolment on training courses will be available.

6 months experience in a relevant field is desirable but not essential as in house training will be provided.
6 months experience within an Learning Disability service is desirable but not essential as in house training will be provided.

Adults and Children's DBS on the update service is desirable but not essential.
