Our client is a small construction company based in Ely area of Cambridgeshire. Due to continued contract wins and expansion they are now looking to recruit a Contracts Assistant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professionally minded individual on a trainee basis who has some knowledge and interest of the building trade however, this is desirable but not essential.

This is a site and office-based position so driving licence is required.

Full in-house training will be given and over time it is envisaged that you will develop your skills to be solely in charge and take full ownership of some contracts which will involve on site communication and organisation of employees and subcontractors.

To succeed in this role, you need to possess strong communication skills, be fully PC literate, have willingness to work both independently & as part of a team. Hold a polite and friendly manner and above all be ready for a challenging and rewarding career.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Must have the knowledge and ability to use computers efficiently
- Ordering materials, Pricing of materials, Checking material costs
- Liaising with Sub Contractors, placing orders
- Site Programmes
- Organising, Filing and updating each individual contract files
- Assist in the preparation of H&S plans, O&M manuals, method statements & risk assessments
