We have a great opportunity for a Property Surveyor to join our team on a permanent basis._**

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Completing pre and post inspections of day-to-day responsive repairs as well as legal disrepairs, insurance claims, and damp and mould
- Ensuring tenant queries, requests and complaints are investigated and dealt with proactively
- Providing technical advice to both customers and colleagues
- Ensuring that all remedial works are completed in line with health and safety requirements
- Co-ordinating and supervising day-to-day repairs
- Preparing specifications and documents in accordance with WCHG policies and procedures.
- Supervising contractors and ensuring quality of work and response times meet the required standards and SLAs
- Working as a team and communicating with all stakeholders
- Minimum of 5 years plus experience working on day to day responsive repairs in social housing is essential
- Experience of dealing with customers face to face is essential.
- HNC/D in building studies or RICS would be desirable
- Trade back ground would be desirable
- Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT) or certificated surveyor in timber and dampness in buildings (CSTDB) would be desirable (Training Provided)

Previous experience of working as a Property Surveyor in a social housing environment is essential coupled with knowledge of current building and housing legislation. A good working knowledge of Schedule of rates is also essential.

A full UK driving licence is essential and we are looking for someone who is customer focused, with excellent IT and problem-solving skills.
