Job Introduction
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior NRSWA and Permitting Compliance Officer to lead and manage our Compliance Officers within the Highway Works Permit Team.

We help to make big things happen - like the High-Speed Rail network, M42 Junction 5a, our housing growth programme aligned with the Local Plan and bringing forward exciting commercial and residential develops at Birmingham Airport, the N.E.C. and Arden Cross development.
As Senior NRSWA and Permitting Compliance Officer, you will bring your experience and knowledge to provide a customer focussed service and technical support to ensure that the Council delivers its Traffic Management statutory duties and obligations. You will ensure robust control, management and inspection of works carried out on the highways network are co-ordinated in accordance with the legislation to minimise disruption to users including local residents and traders.
To be successful in the role you will have a Level 3 qualification in Traffic or Highways Management and be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience of traffic and highway legislation, traffic management and work co-ordination systems. With experience of managing resources including staff and financial systems, you will also be able to demonstrate effective negotiation, influencing and diplomacy skills, able to engage with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to deliver a customer focused service.
