- Current Team: The entire security team consists of 12 employees therefore there are lots of holiday shifts to cover.

**Essential requirements for the role**:

- SIA Licence (DS/SG or CP)
- First Aid Certification
- Customer Service experience
- Being able to commute to and from site without issue

**Desirable for the role**:

- Prior Security roles in Distribution
- Transport - You DO NOT need a driving license to be considered for this role however with where the site is located your own transport would be beneficial as public transport routes are limited.

**Role Scope**:
Consortio Security are looking to recruit competent Relief Security Officers to join a successful team, at a large Distribution Centre in Avonmouth deployed on day and night shift patterns.

To be considered for this role you must hold an active SIA License be it Close Protection, Door Supervisor or Security Guard. You must have an in date First Aid Qualification and have high levels of Customer Service skill as the role involves working with employees and site contractors. Preferably you will also have previous Logistical and Distribution experience.

This role would suit someone who is flexible, able to think on their feet, is able to constantly prioritise tasks ensuring that the most critical issues are dealt with first and foremost.

All site training will be provided prior to deployment.

The role has an immediate start.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Purpose of the role: To provide an efficient and professional security service to Consortio Security’s clients as specified, demonstrating the highest levels of customer service.

**Duties**:

- Control access and egress, utilising the equipment and systems provided
- Ensure clients’ staff, property, and other assets are secure
- Answer all enquiries courteously and professionally
- Accurately operate designated alarm systems
- Monitor CCTV footage for the protection of property and assets overtly and covertly
- Complete the daily log, noting all appropriate activity
- Produce accurate reports as and when needed
- Conduct sufficient internal and external patrols to ensure the security of all zones
- Ensure all procedures, site/assignment instructions, and protocols are followed; being particularly diligent when in an emergency
- Conduct vehicle and person searches ensuring that the integrity of the site is always maintained
- Seal checks on all inbound and outbound trailers
- Maintain tidy and clean work areas
- Be an effective ambassador for Consortio Security, always smart and diligent.

**Essential Requirements**:

- A current SIA Licence - Carried on your person at all times whilst on duty
- Smart appearance, following the Consortio uniform requirements to the letter
- Good verbal communication skills, pleasant manner, approachable, clearly spoken
- Shows excellent customer care skills
- Always shows courtesy and respect for people in all situations
- Possesses computer literacy of at least a basic level
- Demonstrates basic numeracy and literacy skills for following instructions and preparing reports
- Demonstrates good observation skills and an attention to detail
- Remains calm and professional under pressure
- Always punctual and reliable
- Demonstrates a flexible attitude to changing working hours and patterns
- Must demonstrate understanding of Health & Safety requirements when handling and using machinery and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
- Supports the team, always giving assistance.
