Coldstore and Warehouse Operative

Do you want to work for the UK’s leading Ice cream specialists based in Burgess Hill and help them become even better at what they do?
This role will involve working in the coldstore, picking stock to fulfill customer orders, and then assisting with loading our refrigerated fleet of 3.5t and 7.5t vehicles. You will be expected to comply with Health and Safety regulations and work to high and demanding standards of quality and hygiene. Previous experience within a similar fast-paced role would be an advantage, although not essential as full training will be given.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be comfortable with minus temperatures, you will be provided with a freezer suit.
We are also an advocate of The Real Living Wage making sure all are workforce receive wages higher than the national average.
The hourly rate of pay is £10.00 per hour (21 and over) and £8.00 per hour (under 21).
Hours will be 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday although a 6pm finish must not be assumed and flexibility might be needed. This contract is until the end of August and then reviewed on a week to week basis.
The training week will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
