An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced warehouse operative to help run the warehouse operations in our West Sussex warehouse.

POLAR is an established distributor of music equipment, audio visual products and solutions. Including brands such as AMX, T1V, beyerdynamic, Mackie, HK Audio and more. We are looking for someone that is willing to challenge themselves and progress within the company.

**The Role**

As a Warehouse Operative, reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be working in a physically demanding environment at the heart of the business ensuring all orders are delivered to our customers correctly and on time, inbound goods are received effectively and efficiently. An eye for detail, quality and impeccable time keeping are a must as well as being able to work well with others and independently. Full training will be given, and ongoing where needed.

**Responsibilities**
- Preparing, packing & processing sales orders for despatch and/or collection on time and accurately using barcode scanning equipment, detailing serial numbers where appropriate
- Assist processing inbound POs in an effective & timely manner
- Assist in processing & triaging returns from all B2B & B2C customers/clients, including Amazon & Ebay
- Assist with all stock movement requirements and related system maintenance within the warehouse(s)
- Perform stock checks on a regular basis, reporting to the warehouse manager and assist logging on the system when appropriate
- Assisting with processing required documentation for international deliveries
- Assist with the packing, loading and offloading of goods in / out of the warehouse safely, to include containers on a regular basis
- Receive, check, identify and store stock into its appropriate location using barcode scanning technology
- To use all equipment provided in a safe and correct manner, in accordance with all company procedures and safety guidelines, and legal requirements
- General housekeeping duties, to include cleaning, emptying bins and ensuring the warehouse is always a clean and safe environment to work in
- To carry out any ad-hoc duties deemed appropriate by the Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager and Managing Director

**Requirements**:

- 1 year’s warehouse experience
- Computer System Processing experience, a confident computer user
- Forklift experience, Bendi licence preferred, training available
- Must be physically fit, strong and able to handle heavy loads
- Good communication skills-spoken and written
- Able to work within a fast-paced environment, focussed on the business needs & priorities
- Can-do attitude, willing to get involved to assist the wider team as and when necessary
- Calm, flexible and pragmatic attitude, with the ability to “shift through the gears” when needed
- Confidence to bring solution ideas to assist the wider team / business needs
- Based in or close to Sussex area

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
