What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing comprehensive administrative and technical support in the Bereavement Office.
- Managing burial and cremation records using bespoke software.
- Liaising with funeral directors, stone masons, and the public with empathy and professionalism.
- Processing memorial orders, payments, and permits.
- Supporting front-line reception duties and handling sensitive enquiries with care.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong administrative experience and excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office, bespoke systems).
- Excellent customer care skills, especially when dealing with bereaved or vulnerable individuals.
- A calm, respectful, and flexible approach to work.
- Knowledge of GDPR and experience handling sensitive information.
You’ll be part of a small, supportive team making a real impact in the community. We offer a respectful and inclusive work environment, opportunities for development, and the chance to contribute to a vital public service.
Your working hours will be 37 hours week, and an element of flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.
