Great Yarmouth Borough Council is an ambitious local authority with big plans for the future and massive opportunities ahead. With one of the most successful enterprise zones in the country, Great Yarmouth is England’s offshore energy hub and Norfolk’s biggest seaside resort at the edge of the Broads National Park. We are looking for an experienced Business Support Officer to join the Independent Living Team.

Independent Living deliver a range of adaptation services that enable vulnerable residents of the borough to live safely and independently in their own homes. The role provides full business support to the team in delivering adaptations, minor works and handyperson services.
- Previous experience of working in a busy office environment and dealing with the public.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work to meet statutory and local deadlines, whilst ensuring attention to detail and accuracy is maintained.
- Good listening skills and can respond to diverse needs of others.
- Ability to communicate across a range of levels of understanding to provide clear information and advice.
- Excellent IT skills, proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word, and financial information systems.
- Educated to GCSE standard including Maths and English at Grade 4 or above.
