The role

Within the CAE department (Computer Aided Engineering), you will be responsible for developing software engineering tools to support our various Engineering Departments. You will work alongside engineers and developers to continue to build our cloud basedIntegrated Engineering Platform (IEP).

This role aims to expand and add new tools and features onto the IEP, with the end goal to have a suite of engineering tools to be used by engineers on the cloud platform. Many of the engineering tools are existing and are based in Excel/VBA or Mathcad andneed to be redeveloped in Python.

As a Python Development Engineer you will also help guide more junior and less experienced members of the team. You will have the opportunity to help grow and shape the team to achieve our common goals.

Your background

You have a strong experience in Python, JavaScript and some web app development experience

You have experience with different development techs: Git, YAML, JSON, Docstring.

You are able to write unit tests and integration tests.

You have strong experience in data manipulation/handling/processing.

A minimum knowledge in VBA is appreciated.

You are familiar with CI/CD process, code management, build and release pipelines with Azure Devops or other solution.

Engineering experience with exposure to engineering software tools will be highly considered.

English is mandatory - French appreciated.

Based in Suresnes (FR) with some travels to other Subsea7 office.
