We are looking for a Food Science Graduate to join our busy Technical team as a Food Safety & Quality Auditor. This role is responsible for assessing and improving compliance to the Troy Salads Food Safety & Quality Management system (FS&QMS) whilst using your knowledge and experience to suggest improvements.
Key responsibilities include;
- Taking an active role in the investigation of incidents and issues and working with colleagues to identify corrective and preventative actions
- Completion of internal audits
- Completion of validation and compliance activities
- Factory walks to identify areas of improvement
- Checking raw material and packaging intake, taking actions against goods that do not meet specification
- Quarantining non-conforming products, reporting and taking action to avoid accidental use
You will work within a team of QA's and support your colleagues with your knowledge and experience.
You will be an experienced QA and have a deep understanding of food safety and quality management systems such as BRC and customer codes of practice. You will be able to influence your peers, able to work under pressure and able to communicate with a wide variety of people.
This is a factory facing role and as such the hours of work are shifts;
0600-1430 / 1400-2230 - fixed shifts or alternating shifts could be considered
Monday to Friday through the winter (Sept-Apr), through the summer, some weekend working is required.
Holiday Entitlements: 33 days rising to 38 days over a period of 6 years (inclusive of bank holidays)
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
