Our client, a corporation that provides water and sewerage services across Scotland, are currently looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Team Leader to join its Commercial Management team. Working as Commercial Team Leader you will be responsible for managing contracts and associated commercial procedures and policies as well as managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and reporting to a Commercial Manager. The role The main purpose of the role is to control, manage and lead a commercial team to ensure effective commercial and contract management of the current and future Capital Investment Programme through the active management of Contracts. The successful applicant will have line management responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyors aligned with our internal Delivery team. We seek a Commercial Team Leader within our Capital Investment Delivery team You will be responsible for Managing, monitoring and reporting on commercial performance including cost control, forecasting accuracy, risk management and to lead the target price and change control processes. The successful applicant will shape contract management and procurement strategies and will provide commercial leadership and expertise. You will be able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external delivery partners, supply chain management and internal and external stakeholders. You will also maintain an integral and strong team environment approach across the commercial and wider business. You will also have experience of the following: - Experience of managing contract using standard construction contract forms, principally NEC3 - The role holder must be numerate and highly skilled in information management - The role holder should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills. - Full Driving licence - Should have a relevant qualification such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Project Management Your main office base will either be at our Henderson Drive offices in Inverness or at Bullion House in Dundee.
