**The Role**:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced **Grounds Maintenance Team Leader** to manage and lead a small team of operatives working across a portfolio of sites. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong background in grounds maintenance who enjoys leading by example and taking responsibility for site standards and team performance.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead and work alongside a team to carry out grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, litter picking, and general site upkeep.
- Allocate tasks and ensure daily work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed on site.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to team members as needed.
- Report site issues, job progress, and any incidents to the supervisor/manager.
- Interact professionally with clients and members of the public when required.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- A full UK driving licence (essential).
- Previous experience in a grounds maintenance or landscaping role.
- Experience leading or supervising a small team.
- Good knowledge of grounds maintenance practices and equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- PA1/PA6 spraying certificates (advantageous).
- NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent (preferred).
